Global tech brand Next’s new satellite office is located in historic Atlanta, Georgia. Next specializes in many aspects of health and wellbeing, including a meditation app and relaxation and sleep aids. The Next office is a flexible space for all, focusing on providing safety and collaboration in the post-pandemic workplace. The office’s organization and location aims to allow employees the ability to work in the office or virtually, allowing for flexibility of schedule and workspace.
The design looks to the past to inform the future of the post-pandemic workplace. The Next Office design accentuates not only 1980s materials and finishes in a refined palette, but architectural elements as well. The infamous glass blocks are used to allow for pandemic safety protocol division and space separation, without diminishing the natural light that imbues the space. The space design highlights natural lighting, flexible work spaces, inclusive employee wellbeing through exercise and nutrition, and technological access. The interior palette is largely neutral, with many different shapes, textures, and tones; the palette is accentuated by chrome architectural details and various plants throughout the space.

Atlanta has historically been a center of politics, music, and travel; more recently, Atlanta has become a new hub for technology. The Peach State capital has seen a large influx of technology companies and jobs in recent years and is set to become the next Silicon Valley- a new tech mecca for people of color. Atlanta’s lasting perseverance, grounded history, and determination to succeed make it an ideal setting for the Next Office. Here, individuals will be offered flexibility, safety, and collaboration all within an affordable metropolitan area.
